Welcome to My Global Education Blog
Hello, welcome to my blog!
I’m Jessica Rangel, an educator, marketing specialist, and global citizen passionate about current topics in global education. Originally from Mexico City, I have lived and worked across the USA, Singapore, China, and Mexico in diverse sectors, including corporate marketing, non-profits, government, and education. Currently, I reside in Kingston, Ontario, Canada, where I am pursuing a Graduate Business Diploma in Education at Queen’s University.
About This Blog
This blog was born as part of an Innovation in Teaching and Learning course, but it is much more than an academic exercise. It is a space to document my journey, explore thought-provoking ideas, and engage in discussions about current topics in education and global education. My career goal is to specialize in Global Education, leveraging my diverse professional experiences and personal insights.
My Teaching Experience
Since 2017, I have taught university-level marketing courses, and I am now expanding into high school education. As a mother of two multicultural, multilingual children, I have firsthand experience navigating different educational systems—from Montessori to international education in China and the Canadian school system. This unique perspective fuels my interest in diversity, inclusion, and innovation in education.
Blog content
In the coming weeks, I will be sharing insights on:
· Philosophical and Historical Foundations of Teaching and Learning
· Contemporary Issues in Innovation, Teaching, and Learning
· Indigenous Perspectives in Education
· Diversity, Inclusion, and Global Education
I invite you to join me on this journey! Whether you're an educator, student, parent, or simply curious about the evolving landscape of education, I’d love to hear your thoughts. Feel free to connect with me at jessica.r@queensu.ca.
Let’s learn and innovate together!
